You got a little fault in the dutch sentence. 

it’s: “En ik ben verliefd op jou" not u.

'U' in not wrong but in dutch you say 'u' when you're talking to old people, people who are you boss or something like that. 'U' is the formal from for you. 'Jou' is the informal from for you. 

So technical it’s not wrong but to dutch people it sounds a little weird.
